Speaking Through My World with Rosie Motene
Warrior Healing
TRIGGER WARNING!!!!
OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE!!!
At 5 am on a Saturday, we had a home invasion, and I discovered the thief halfway through my kitchen window, perched on the sink.
I found the strength to shout and order him to get out.
My loud screaming and being fearless at that moment scared him, it could have cost my life, but it did not.
He scuffled away like a dirty rat.
Yes, I give thanks for my life, but I am also allowed to feel the fear, pain, anger, and other emotions attached.
Healing as a warrior, I have been intentional in accepting my vulnerability.
Giving thanks to family and support and now finding coping mechanisms to pick up the pieces.
Be realistic with your situation and the healing that you need. All of it is valid.
